She has an experience of more than 7 years. Her core competencies are in Labour Laws, Child Rights, Gender, Social Development, Human Rights Monitoring, Social Compliance Audits and Evaluations.
She started her career with a National Level NGO in its Head office at New Delhi. During her work tenure in NGO she was responsible for Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation of the Core Program at North Zone level. This program required her to play an important role in facilitating peoples’ movement by promoting dialogues, discussions, collective action and by providing required support in terms of knowledge, awareness, trainings and skills. She also played a facilitation role in conducting small research studies for recommendation to policies, including for example a study on evolving better practices during Disaster Management, a study for recommendation to the Tribal Bill that had been tabled then. She was also instrumental in the formation of state level forums for addressing issues like poverty, inequality & injustice and the need for its integration in the work of empowering the vulnerable and marginalized.
During her work tenure in a Buying Agency’s extended wing For CSR, she undertook Human Rights Monitoring and Evaluations for various industrial set-ups. She has worked extensively with industries in training, determining & monitoring the implementation of corrective action for issues related to human rights. She has also conducted evaluations independently in the vegetable seed production sector.
Deepti has successfully completed factory improvement projects and supply chain monitoring for home workers for various clients.
Besides, she has worked for implementation of a targeted intervention project in Ambala through an NGO. Being the overall In-charge of the project, she was extensively involved in its Planning, Implementation, Capacity Building, documentation, Monitoring and Evaluation. She has developed a user friendly tool to be used by Out Reach Workers to record typology of the High Risk Group.
Deepti is a post Graduate in Human Rights and is a WRAP certified Lead Auditor for Social Compliance Monitoring.
