Hello,
Its been a pleasure to have such a wonderful web space here at 'careerinfoline' involving students sharing their rich experiences in job interviews, mentors imparting knowledge, intuitive forums helping freshers. So please do continue this noble effort to help students who jumble their careers because of improper/insuffice guidance.
I am pursuing engineering in e&c(completed 3rd year) and enjoying my vacations.Already I "wasted" 1 month of precious time in unfruitful activities.2 more months to go,I am totally confused whether to have "some training in embedded" or learn "some advanced programming "or "do a project" .Many of my colleagues are doing internships ,but I am disappointed that I couldn't find one.So please do suggest me a "Plan" to chalk out the activities for the rest of my vacation so that I am well prepared to have a post in a good firm.
Thank You.

The internship period is a golden opportunity for a student. It is the only time when you are free from college and have enough time to learn things to build a strong resume for your campus interviews.
I would suggest you to take it seriously and do some concrete work to get a good job ahead.
Regarding training or projects:
Actual meaning of an internship is to work on some live project under professional environment, so you get to know the working in an industry.
Learning some course from an institute is as good as studying in a college and should be the last option, as it will still add to your resume rather then doing nothing and wasting your whole time.
I would suggest you to work on some project as your first preference and if it does not work then learn something which complements your interest also.
But whatever you decide do it quickly, without wasting time and with a good thought.
All the best!
