Hi friends,

I am SACHI GUPTA.I have got placed with TCS, thru campus placements and I am thankful to all those who provided me with info about TCS in last few day. As all other students we were expecting the same pattern of TCS what they used to ask in previous years and the current year in other colleges. To the maximum surprise TCS changed the pattern in our college. It was a memorable day for each and every one of us. 

Eligibility Criteria: 
1. 60% nd  above in 10th, 12th and B.Tech. 
2. No pending or active backlogs.

Online Test: 
The instructions of online test were given by TCS officials. The test was a real nightmare for us. I’d never expected such questions…… All the questions were new and some of them were from previous years CAT papers… This is the new pattern on which TCS is conducting their campus drive….so stop memorizing and start understanding!!!!!

For online test there were three sections:

• Verbal (synonyms, antonyms, comprehension,fill ups ) 
  {40 question,20 minutes}
• Quantitative aptitude 
  {38 ques,40 mins}
• Critical reasoning 
  {3 parts with 4 questions each,30 mins

Online test result was declared on the same day after the test. Once you clear the online test then there are three more steps to go. Most of the time interview is not on the same day & you will get time to relax and prepare for the interview. We were also interviewed next day………

Pre Placement talk:  
The TCS officials gave a presentation and told us about their company and services. Listen to this talk carefully. U will get the answers for….. Why one should join TCS? What are the recent projects of TCS? … Of course about salary and many more.

Technical Interview: This is the most crucial round of the recruitment process. Be prepared with your core subjects, training & project details.

Q1. Which is your favourite language??

Ans: C, C++

Q2. What subjects have u studied till now name them??

Ans: answered

Q3. Which one is your favourite subject??

Ans: Be confident while answering dis question………I answered compiler and software engineering…….

Q4. Tell me about COCOMO model??

Ans: answered

Q5. Tell me about SRS and phases of SDLC??

Ans: answered

Q6. He asked me about basic concepts of C and C++ like friend function,pointers,strings??

Ans: answered

Q7. He asked me to write a program of factorial using recursion??

Ans: done

Q8. Have you read data structures??

Ans: Yes sir

Q9. Tell me about link list and few questions were about sorting??

Ans: done

Q10. Tell me about your projects??

Ans: answered him confidently…….told about backend and frontend technology…..he was quiet satisfied with my answer….. 

After dis he was satisfied with my response…..and he shook hand with me……..about waiting for half an hour I got a call for MR round….. 

MR Interview:

Q1. Tell me something about yourself??

Q2. Tell me about your strengths and weakness??

Q3. Do you work for any social organization?? Yes sir………which one?? Sir for help age India………tell me about dat??

Guys be confident about wat u answer…..dnt try to show dat u know more…..the person in front of u wl be ur boss so dnt try to cheat with him just be confident….

Q4. Tell me about your projects??

Q5.Have you read DBMS?? Yes sir……ok tell me some concepts related to database management?? Answered very calmly….

Q6. Why you want to join TCS?? Be prepared with this question……

Q7. Tell me what u know abt TCS??

Q8. He gave me a situation?? Be true and confident with your answer and dnt try to change it….

He was happy with my response…and asked me to wait outside for the next round….after 10 mins I got a call for HR round… 

  HR interview:

Q1. Introduce yourself??

Q2. Why you want to join TCS and not any other company?? Be prepared with your answer….

Q3. Why you want me to select you as an employee in TCS??

Q4. Where you find yourself in TCS after 5 years??

Q5. Tell me about your family??

Q6. Will u be comfortable if you get posted in Trivandrum or Coimbatore??

Q7. Are you aware with the bond of 2 years??

She was very happy with my answers and asked me to wait for the result……the result was to be announced the next day.

Finally after waiting for a long time….At about 3.45 P.M the result was announced and I got selected…. I am happy to be a part of such a prestigious company. If you believe in yourself and have faith in God..you will definitely be a part of TCS too.
