I sat down keeping my executive file on my lap. (Don’t dare to sit without there permission)
1. Introduce yourself?
Me: I introduced myself. (Be knowledgeable about what u says in ur introduction because they will ask questions regarding it.)
2. Diff b/w electronics and Electronics & Communication?
Me: answered.
3. Diff b/w Instrumentation and communication?
Me: I don’t know sir.
4. Show ur resume?
Me: shown. (Be true towards ur resume. Don’t bluff in it)
5. As u have learnt C programming, wap to swap two nos. without using 3rd variable?
Me: I knew this one luckily. (Be good at c programming.)
6. Next I was given 3 puzzles to solve. They are as follows:
a) One candle completely burns in 60mins. How can u burn it in 30 mins?
b)You have 3 containers of 8ml, 5ml and 3ml capacity respectively without any marks on them. 8ml container is filled with milk. Divide milk in 8ml and 5ml container each having 4ml of milk? (I am not able to recall 3rd puzzle)
Me: I was able to solve only one of them.
7. Karan you like to read novels (from resume), so what kind of novels you read?
Me: answered.
8. Name some and their authors too?
Me: answered.
9. U said u want to b a responsible citizen of Ur country (from introduction), what you exactly want to do?
Me: I want to run schools and provide world class education to students.
10. ur strengths?
Me: industrious and self teaching ability.
11. What do u mean by industrious?
Me: hard working and energetic.
12. How can u say u r industrious?
Me: sir, I take part time tuitions after my college hours and then too my academic performance is a graded so u can make out that I am industrious.
13. If u have to work on tight & hectic schedule how will u b able to manage?
Me: I explained my current schedule which includes rising at 6’o clock then taking tuition classes for next 1 hrs and then attend my clg after which I take continuous tuition classes till 8 pm simultaneously I give time to my hobbies and by this answer I made him believe that I am at pinnacle of time management.
14. Have u ever lived away from ur home and family members?
Me: no
15. how will u manage to work in distant places away from ur home?
Me: Technology has really made world to shrink. And u can communicate with your loved ones anywhere, anytime. (to this answer he gave me a very impressed smile)

Me: thank u sir for giving me this opportunity. Then I ask him following ques.:
a . which is most best and impressive part of tech mahindra for u?
b. what are the assets which u try 2 find in freshers?
(If they give u this opportunity that means they want 2 check that how easily u can interact with strangers, so ask them some relevant ques. Don’t shot a lot of questions, because he is here to take ur interview not you?) In the end he was very impressed with questions I asked him.
HR:
Before this interview I was very nervous because interviewer was asking students to give extempore on his choice of topic, but I m very weak in extempore.
1 . why tech mahindra?
Me: most importantly I am looking for a company that values quality, ethics, and teamwork. I would like to work for a company that hires overachievers.
2 . Any good company can provide all above, but why tech mahindra?
Me: This company is working since 20 yrs, so I have full faith in it that it provides me an opportunity to build a successful career.
3 . Have you ever heard the name of our company before this placement drive?
Me: yes, sir my dad is being investing in stock exchange from the past 15 yrs, so he informed me about the companies doing well in stock exchange.
4 . why you are not selected in TCS?
Me: I was unable to crack its written paper. (here I gave him a witty answer, actually I cleared its written but chucked out in interview).
My luck was shining on that day, I was not asked to give extempore.
After 30 minutes result was declared and I am happy that my name was announced.
