Hello Friends….

Today, I am going to share my experience of ACCENTURE recruitment with you.

Accenture came to Doaba group of colleges for open campus recruitment on 4th June 2010.. 2009/2010 batches were eligible. and around 12000 students participated in the written test. This time again I had fear in m mind whether  I will be able to clear the written test or not because before that I have given the written exam of Many companies like TCS, Infosys, Tech Mahindra & many more, but I never succeeded. But I have maintained my confidence level and prepared myself for written exam.

The Selection procedure of ACCENTURE was:


Selection Procedure:


1st round:- Written test
( 55 questions in 60 minutes, no negative marking, no sectional cutoff)
3 sections:
English:
> fill in the blanks type questions for prepositions and articles only.
> 2 Reading comprehensions not much difficult and related to some technical topic like
RAID, Inter protocol communication etc.
Reasoning: 
> questions like replacing 1 with $ and 0 with * in binary code.
> changing the places of alphabets in a word.
> Concentration questions.
> Some other reasoning type questions.
Quantitative:
>questions which requires knowledge of union and intersection formulas like A/\B   A\/B.
>similar figure type questions.
>Some other simple quant questions.

Overall level of
aptitude test is medium. just manage your time and remain cool..
at my time cutoff was 34 out of 55.
Around 1000 were shortlisted after written out of 12000.

GROUP DISCUSSION ROUND

This time I have also cleared the written test. I was very happy at that moment but also I have the fear of next round which was second hurdle i.e. GROUP DISCUSSION.

In m whole life I have never participated in GD. So I was very nervous for the GD round. My turn for the GD round came next day of my written test. We were a group of 16 students. When I entered the GD room then HR from the ACCENTURE has firstly given us the tips for GD like (don’t create fish Market & all that…….).I have listened to her carefully & then she gave us the very unique topic i.e. COLOUR BLACK…She has given us 2 min. to think about d topic and after that we have started the GD.I have also said some points. If your comm. skills are good then don’t take tension about gd round. Just be cool and calm at time of gd and give others chance to speak because they want group dynamics.

In gd round about 7 students were selected from group of 16 students and I was one of them.

TECHNICAL ROUND

My next round was technical round. In this round I was confident because I have prepared well for the technical round. My turn for Technical round came next day from my GD ROUND i.e. 6 June. For the technical round I would suggest you, clear your C, C++ basics and database. Also go through with your project.

In my turn it was opposite. He did not ask about me give the intro and all that. He just looked at my form and then asked the following questions

Accenture INTR: Have you done ASP.NET?

ME: yes.

Accenture INTR: Ok, tell me what is view state?

ME: Actually I did not know about the view state but I have given the answer to him. I explained him firstly session state and all that, he was quite satisfied with my answer.

Accenture INTR: OK, tell me the difference b/w dataset and datareader?

ME:  Explained, again he was satisfied with my answer.

Accenture INTR: Tell me difference b/w string and stringbuilder?

ME:  Explained.

Accenture INTR: Then he asked me do you have any query?

ME: NO

Accenture INTR: ok, wait outside.

My tech. interview lasts only for about 5-7 min, after waiting 5-10 min coordinator came and said to me that u r selected for the HR ROUND.

 

HR ROUND

This was the last round. don’t take tension about this round…this was just the formality they only ask u to introduce yourself and relocation and all that…….

Friends if you have cleared the above 3 rounds than you are 80% selected.
in HR they ask you just basic questions like

1. Your introduction.

2. Role model.

3. Why Accenture?

4. Whether you are ready to relocate or not?

Just give the interview very casually with good attitude.

Finally with the blessings of my parents and god I got selected in ACCENTURE. I was very happy at that moment.

They were providing the offer letter on the spot.
