CAT

CAT (Common Admission Test) is the most popular MBA entrance exam for admissions into the IIMs and many other coveted institutes.CAT is now conducted online and is conducted in December. The exam is conducted over a period of 10 days. Some of the top rated institutes which accept CAT score are:

Exam Pattern

CAT is one of the most unpredictable entrance exams and its test pattern keeps on changing every year. In general there are 3 sections with a total of 60-80 questions to be attempted in a maximum time of 150 minutes. The exam pattern of CAT is given below:

The questions are multiple choices type. For each incorrect answer you get negative marks. Every year, the IIMs change the question pattern to prevent predictability. It is to be noted that you have to perform well in all the three sections of the CAT as the test evaluates the overall aptitude of the student.

At the test venue, each candidate will be seated at a desk with a computer terminal and he/she will be provided with a scratch paper for calculations. After the test, candidate must leave the scratch paper at the desk. Rough work cannot be done on any other paper/sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the testing room.
